Job Fair on February 3, 2020 - Hosted by DC DMV and US Census Bureau Posted: 31 Jan 2020 12:45 PM PST The DC Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV), in partnership with the US Census Bureau, is hosting two employment workshops for District residents. At these workshops, residents will participate in job skills mini-clinics and apply for full and part-time employment jobs with the U.S. Census Bureau. Available positions include Recruiting Assistant, Census Field Supervisor, Office Operations Supervisor, Enumerator, and Clerk. Hourly pay rates range between $22.50 and $27.50. Additionally, each workshop will focus on key interview skills, including how to answer interview questions and interview "do's and don'ts". Attendees will also learn important information about employment in public service, and they will have an opportunity to engage with human resource professionals who will assist with the US Census Bureau application process. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Those who plan on attending should RSVP here. Attendees must bring the following:

Paid Internships and Jobs available at Six Flags Posted: 31 Jan 2020 08:36 AM PST LOSS PREVENTION SUMMER INTERNSHIPS AND SEASONAL POSITIONS Six Flags America is looking to hire interns from the University of Maryland's Criminology and Criminal Justice Department. Previous interns have had rewarding experiences, and many of Six Flags' staff members are University of Maryland CCJS alumni who began their career with Six Flags before moving on to state and federal law enforcement agencies. Paid Summer Internship and Part Time/Seasonal positions are available. Please direct any questions to Ashley Alston (aAlston@sftp.com) and Daniel Powell (dPowell@sftp.com). Available Positions: Excellent opportunity for students who wish to enter into the police force and are most interested in field work, such as surveillance. Students will learn surveillance and investigative techniques. Students will be taught how to conduct field interviews, obtain statements, and write reports. They will also learn how defensive tactics and theft apprehension techniques. Entry-level experience in analytical and financial auditing for the students most interested in white collar crime. Students will learn how to identify financial impropriety. Students will conduct employee interviews, spot audits, inventory audits, and field audits. The students will be responsible for tracking information learned through investigations and interviews and following up as necessary. **Positions begin in late May of 2020, those interested in intern positions are also eligible to continue work through Six Flags America's operating season (May-December).
